Our new high tech web cam!

Hi everyone!
We have a new toy, a web cam. You can now see video messages from us and if you have a web cam, which all of the Greenway Clan now does, you can talk to us in real time! Now here is a message from Parker and Mommy. (please remember this is Christmas and I have not yet gotten myself ready for the day. Don't worry I have not let myself go down the tubes. I am way to vain for that!)

Merry Christmas

"Merry Christmas from The Greenway Clan"

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Here is Parker and Brady visiting Santa at Bass Pro Shop.
Doug would be proud to know that I took his boys to his favorite store to see Santa. Christmas will not be the same without our precious Daddy this year, but we are glad to be in an new home making new traditions. Betty Ann is coming to spend Christmas and Brady's first birthday with us.

I have decided that this year I am not doing traditional Christmas cards, so here is our holiday photo and a few more from the day.

I did order change of address cards over a month ago and they are lost in UPS world. So here is our new address:

1543 Atlantic Ave. Ripon , CA 95366

Home phone 209-595-8457

Cell phone 770-633-6368

Our tree is up and decorated. We are anticipating Santa's arrival too. Parker is worried that Santa will come down the wrong chimney as we have 3 in our new home. I told him not to worry and that if Santa comes down the chimney in my room I will quickly direct him down the stairs. He said that he will sleep with me on Christmas Eve just in case!

Finally in our new home!

Hi everyone! We are finally moved into our new home. It has taken me a couple of weeks to find my USB cord for my camera. I am always full of good excuses when it comes to keeping up our blog! Anyway, we are getting settled into our new home in Ripon. I am sending out new address cards with our Christmas cards this year. It took the movers (4 of them) 13 hours to load our moving truck in GA. It was crazy! We are now 20 lbs. of potatoes in a 5 lbs. bag. We are less than a mile from my sister and her family. We can walk to her house in about 10 minutes. My nephews ride their bikes over often and we always have lots of hands to help with Brady and play with Parker.
Parker is riding the school bus everyday and loves it. I volunteer in his class 2 times a month. It is a new lifestyle for all of us. Brady is growing like a weed! He is wearing 18 months size clothing! No one would guess he is was a Preemie. He has started to take a few steps on his own too. We have "Summer Teeth" at our house. "Some are there and some ain't" Parker has no front teeth and Brady has 2 front teeth.

Baptism!

Parker made the decision to get baptized and the event took place yesterday at our new church, Crossroads. He had expressed interest a few months ago, so we attended a baptism class in order for him to learn more about it. Here is his testimony that was read during the big moment...

"I heard the stories of the bible, like Noah's Ark, and I knew they were true. When my dad died he did not feel sick. He went to my baseball game in the morning and played golf that day too. He woke up and didn't feel good, so God said "come home now."
That was it, I knew that Jesus lives in my heart."

We really love our new church. It is a combination of NPCC and Stonecreek, which is what we have been looking for. You can check it out at www.crossroadsgrace.org.

Camp Caterpillar

Parker attended a wonderful camp on Saturday called Camp Caterpillar. It is hosted by our community hospice organization. Hospice help care for my mother during her final days. The camp is for children ages 5-12 who have lost a loved one within the last 2 years. They did arts and crafts, music, journeling, storytelling and games. Parker loved it and asked to go again next year. They did a balloon release at the end of the day as they called out the name of their loved one. It was awesome. Not a dry eye in the crowd. Enjoy the pitures!

Baby Brady

Mom thought it would be fun to dress me in overalls and put me on the grass for a photo shoot. Well I do not like the grass! This is obviously not Capital City Turf grass. I tried my best to enjoy the attention, but my brother was sitting by eating chicken nuggets and I really wanted to eat them instead of acting like a model for mommy.

Sunny California!

As you all well know we have moved to sunny California. I know why they call it sunny California. It is so nice and sunny every day! The weather is a real pick-me-up. Well the boys and I are adjusting well to our new life. Cinder arrived without a hitch too. He seems much calmer than he was in GA since Doug's passing. Who ever does not think that dogs are not smart or have feelings is crazy. Our precious dog has been a blessing for us. He greets us with barks and licks every time he sees us.

As for Master Parker, he is very happy with his new school. He is attending Ripon Christian School which is an 80 year old private school. They don't wear uniforms which he likes a lot because he can show his style. Today is Cowboy Day and of course Parker is playing the part perfectly. He really likes his boots. We borrowed a hat from Katylin who is Alfred (Parker's cousin) girlfriend.

Brady is growing like a weed. He officially has his first tooth. Bottom right one to be exact. He is crawling around. He thinks he can walk, but forgets to move his feet. He has a really cute personality. He has a soft spot for Uncle Al and his cousin Brandon. It is such a joy to be at home with him.

I promise to start updating our blog more often now that we are getting settled.

Parker's 7th Birthday Luau

We had a HUGE luau for Parker this past week-end. He turned 7 on the 14th of July and he really wanted a luau party. Most of you know that Hawaii has been a big part of my life; some of you lived there with me! Doug and I were married there 10 years ago and had planned to take a trip this year. Since Brady was arriving we decided to postpone our trip for 1 year and Parker was disappointed, so I brought Maui to Alpharetta! The pictures say it all.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us. Thanks to Kay and Angel for all of their help. Thank you to Kathy for taking the great pics! Uncle Mark was a great bartender. Uncle Sonny did a great hula dance. Our neighbors; The Counsells, The Curts and The Upchurches, thanks for lending the chairs, tables and blender.

The Big Kahuna, Doug, was smiling down on all of us as we partied the night away!
